Is ‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6, episode 16 new tonight?

“The Vampire Diaries” had a nice little run on The CW this February, giving you new episodes for almost the majority of the month. Did you love it? It was definitely emotional, given that we have now lost Liz Forbes, though we did see Bonnie eventually find her back to the show.

Unfortunately, you’ll be waiting for at least a little while longer to see what happens next. There is no new episode tonight, and there won’t be another until the show returns on March 12. (Watch a promo for it here.) There are a variety of different stories that will be addressed almost immediately, with Bonnie’s return of course being at the top of the list. While she will have returned to civilization, there’s still an important question here in whether or not she is legitimately okay after being trapped for so long. Nobody would blame her if there were some psychological scars from going through something like that.

Also, Damon now knows the truth about his mother, and now that things are a little more stable for him and Elena, this is a chance to go in a new direction and do something really different. As you would think, we’re excited about the change-up. It is not that we are necessarily against the idea of seeing romance on the show, but sometimes, you need breaks to make the romance more powerful.

Don’t worry; even when the show is off the air, we will still have updates almost every step of the way.
