‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 6, episode 17 review: Sam returns to work, Deeks’ S’morecakes
We saw Kensi and Deeks survive their first fight on last week’s episode of “NCIS: Los Angeles”, but as Deeks falls deeper in love with her can Kensi handle that kind of attention? We like to think she can regardless of the fact that she wanted a little bit of space from him because they were together all the time due to work, but will there be more obstacles coming up tonight for these two love birds?
Sam is back to work after getting shot and he seems to be back to his old self as the group all compares their bullet wounds. Owen is not convinced that Sam is ready to go back to work on the streets and unless Sam can prove that he’s able to do some burpees in the gym then he’s going to be on desk duty. Owen asking Sam to go to the gym presses the wrong buttons with Callen since he thinks that the gym is their thing. Sam reminds him that he and Sam have nothing in common (besides being best friends and partners) and Callen spends every shift trying to come up with something they have in common. It is Hetty that comes up with the commonality between them saying that they both appreciate Monet’s paintings.
Nell finds out that Eric has quite a few “female friends” and it seems to ruffle her feathers a bit, but Eric qualifies it saying that he hasn’t had any romantic relationships with any of them. We haven’t seen much movement on their flirting/romance in a while, but we hope that there will be more coming up before the season ends.
We were hoping for more when it comes to Kensi and Deeks, but every episode can’t be all love and flowers on this show, can it? At least we learned that Deeks likes to make S’morecakes (S’mores as a pancake) and we know that we will be trying to make these tonight. Episode grade: C+
