‘Call the Midwife’ season 4, episode 6 preview: Sister Mary Cynthia’s new challenge

Call the Midwife -We have already seen a variety of different challenges for the various characters on BBC’s “Call the Midwife,” and it definitely appears already like there will be a very difficult case for the midwives to take on. Not only are they going to help a young woman with diabetes, but she also happens to have become pregnancy following a romance conducted in secret. You can really just add this to the variety of difficult pregnancies we’ve seen on the show over the years. At this point, we don’t exactly see many pregnancies that are described as normal.

As for what at least one other character will be up to during this episode, take a look at the official synopsis:

“A young diabetic girl faces heartbreak when she falls pregnant as a result of a clandestine romance. Elsewhere, the midwives become involved with a settlement of Irish Travellers and Sister Mary Cynthia delivers her first baby since becoming a nun.”

The promo that aired following tonight’s episode really did not do a good job of giving too much away, and it is with this question in mind that we must ask the following: If this season doing a particularly poor job at showing off the stories of our key cast members? It feels almost like we are dealing a little bit too much with the stories of the week, and not enough pushing the lives of these longtime characters ahead. Without that strong emotional hook, it becomes difficult to be attached.
