‘The Originals’ season 2, episode 11 video: Klaus debates with Davina

While we know that there are great stakes and heavy drama at the center of Monday night’s new episode of “The Originals,” we have to admit here that at the same time, we are really just having a great time watching Klaus and Davina have to team up just from the standpoint of entertainment.

In the sneak peek below, what you really have ultimately is a back-and-forth all about priorities. Joseph Morgan’s character cares much more about his sister than his brother Kol, so he does not seem to be particularly concerned for his safety. However, Davina makes it very clear that her own priorities have her leaning so much more to making sure that everyone stays in one piece. The two have a great argument over it; he wants her to hurry, and she does not want to rush anything for the sake of being reckless.

Klaus gives us at least one more reminder here that it is Finn who is really the architect of everything right now, and that is not something to be forgotten. While these two may see their present fate change at some point before the end of this episode, we know that Finn’s power is not going to be disintegrated anytime in the near future. Some early suggestions for upcoming episodes are virtually proof of that.

For the time being, just enjoy this short scene for what it is, and then look forward to the Elijah / Hayley / Jackson storyline and everything else that is coming Monday night. We’ll have more on these as the news breaks.
