‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6 spoilers: Ian Somerhalder currently directing episode
For those of you who have been following “The Vampire Diaries” pretty intensely as of late, you may have had the opportunity to hear this news already. However, that does not make it any less exciting so we are here to shout it from the rooftops: Ian Somerhalder is directing an upcoming episode!
So which one is it? Think the sixteenth one of this season, which is likely going to air in either March or April, depending on how the show decides that they want to structure their stories. This is the first time that Ian has taken on this particular role with the show, but we definitely understand why he would want to jump into the director’s chair. After all, why wouldn’t you want to try something new after six seasons on the show? The only thing that does make this a little tricky is that directing is not just something that you can decide to do overnight. It takes a ton of preparation, but if there is anyone that puts his all into everything he does, it’s Ian Somerhalder – so we are not worried about him directing at all.
As for where we are going to see Ian’s character of Damon the rest of the way, expect to see a somewhat-happier period coming up for his Damon and Elena. Maybe there are some bumps in the road, but don’t they deserve a little bit of time in order to be happy? At this point we really just want to see a little bit of happiness for them – it’s been a really long journey and the Damon/Elena shippers deserve a win. If there is no happiness at then end of all the struggles and misery then what are we watching for?
