‘Glee’ season 6 spoilers: A telling Lea Michele – Amber Riley photo

While for a long time it did not appear as though the “Glee” production team was really that interested in giving Rachel Berry a romance during the final season, that seemed as though it changed during “The Hurt Locker: Part I.” The problem? It was not even remotely authentic, given that Sam was possessed by Sue Sylvester into kissing her, and then immediately forgetting about it after it happened.

Near the end of the episodes, things became ultimately very sad for Rachel, as she asked Sam to go on a coffee date with her, only to hear back that he is still in love with Mercedes. We haven’t seen much of Amber Riley yet this season, but the attached photo confirms that we are going to be seeing her back during the sixth episode entitled “What the World Needs Now.” Rachel is breaking down, and she seems to be relying on Mercedes for support. However, she does not appear to be completely supportive.

It is hard to judge too much based on one photo, since there are so many different factors at play here. We don’t know what their relationship has been over the course of the past few months, especially when Lea Michele’s character went radio silent on everyone. Also, we don’t know what Mercedes really feels about Sam these does. Just because there are feelings on his end does not make them mutual in the slightest. Hopefully, we are on the cusp of getting some answers.

If nothing else, it does look like we’ll be getting some drama!
