NBC’s ‘Hannibal’ season 3 spoilers: ‘True Blood’ alum Rutina Wesley

Hannibal -Do you love all things “True Blood“? While the final season may have been the TV equivalent of a record scratch, we do feel like the show had one heck of a cast the entire time that it was on the air on HBO.

Now, we have some other great news to report: One of its stars now has a juicy role over on NBC’s hit “Hannibal.” According to TVLine, Rutina Wesley (who you probably know better as Tara) has signed on for a major recurring role in the second half of the season as Reba McClane. She is a blind woman who becomes close to Francis Dolarhyde (Richard Armitage), and ultimately is a key part of the Red Dragon story that is going to comprise a handful of episodes this season. She’s definitely a nice cast given that she is someone who is already well-versed in drama, and existing in a world that is somewhat strange and imaginative.

“Hannibal” is unfortunately not going to be on the air until summer (ironically when “True Blood” happened to air most of its new episodes), so you are going to be waiting for a little while to see the aftermath of this. If you have been living under some sort of rock for the past little while then know that the first half of the season will focus very much on Will Graham’s search for Hannibal in Europe. Then, we will move into Red Dragon territory.

As soon as we have some further updates, we will have those for you here!
