‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11 spoilers: Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey, and moving forward
“Where Do We Go From Here” feels like it is the perfect title for the “Grey’s Anatomy” winter premiere a week from Thursday. After all, you are basically watching the dust settle following all of the craziness that you saw unfold in the first half of the season, and then figuring our where the truth is going to lie for many of the characters.
Perhaps the biggest question for now is whether or not Derek is really going to move to Washington DC, and this has not really been discussed much in the past few weeks. Patrick Dempsey’s character already said yes to the offer, feeling as though he needed to do this even in the midst of his relationship with Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) starting to crumble. Based on the synopsis below, it does not appear as though a whole lot has changed since then, and these two have quite a bit to figure out with their lives:
“As Derek prepares for his move to DC, Meredith keeps herself busy at the hospital. Meanwhile, Jackson and April deal with difficult news, and Arizona and Amelia discuss how to best approach Dr. Herman.”
All of these stories seemed to be tied into some of what we’ve seen already when it comes to the show. Jackson and April, for example, are trying to handle some hard news to swallow when it comes to their unborn child. Meanwhile, Dr. Herman’s skills versus her medical condition will remain a key topic of conversation as we get further and further to what may be a breaking point.

Just curious. What happened to Derek writing on the “post it” No body leaves. Have I missed something here. So he packs his bags and leaves. Perhaps he needs to read the “post it” again.
