‘Supernatural’ season 10, episode 10 video: Jensen Ackles’ Dean battles the Mark and more
The new trailer for the upcoming few episodes of “Supernatural” basically has everything you could possibly want in it. Are there some emotional moments? Sure, but there is also a ton of action, a few surprises, and a few occasions in which you will laugh.
The first thing that we should make pretty clear is that we don’t believe that this trailer is just for Tuesday’s “The Hunter Games,” since you see Felicia Day (Charlie) in here, and we know already that she will not be turning up until 10×11. There’s also a return appearance from Curtis Armstrong (Metatron), just so that those of you who understandably love that character can start to get a little bit excited.
Above all else, the focus of this trailer revolves around one fairly-simple question: Is there a way to restore Dean back to the Dean of old? Are the other characters stuck with this brutal version of Jensen Ackles’ character? Dean does not seemingly want to be a psychopathic killer forever, but it is not exactly like he has a whole lot of say in it. The Mark wants what it wants, and as we saw in another recent sneak peek, there is no known way to get rid of it completely … at least not yet. There is still plenty of time still to try.
With the knowledge that there is a “Supernatural” season 11 coming, the way to look at this promo is as a launching pad to all sorts of other great stuff. There’s no pressure to tie everything up this year, though our personal feeling is that we should be on past the Mark before season 10 is over. That way, we can return to some other mythology.

I enjoy seeing the Mark effect Dean and I really hope they don’t get rid of it anytime soon. I mean they will sooner or later but I at least hope it stays for this season since they said it’s the Year of the Deanmon.

Hear! Hear!
I love the effects too.
I don’t know they keep reading the lore etc. trying to find out clues – I guess Timothy Omundson must have too busy to guest as Cain, so they had to stall the story before going to him!
If it was me in that situation, my first move would be, go to the source, in this case, Cain himself. Or is that too obvious? ;))

Its as obvious as for Castiel to get his grace back–he has to extract it from Claire. He extracted grace from Gadreel because Sam possessed him. Castiel possessed Claire for a time so you can do the math. However, Cain wants Dean to use the blade to kill him. Let alone you have to get Crowley to give the Winchesters the First Blade. It made no sense for Sam to give it to Crowley when he should have given it to Castiel. And I don’t think Cain was too busy to call Dean. I’m sure he understood the effects was like when Cain first became a Demon. Who knows we may see Abel in the episode also.

Sorry – I didn’t say Cain was busy – I said the actor who plays him was! It was tongue in cheek – a joke!
Not a lot makes much sense with Supernatural these days. Writers too busy trying to please everyone and losing the plot somewhat themselves.
Too much pandering to slash mobs IMHO!

Great joke! :) Its hard to understand all jokes when its just typed. :)I was just trying to justify why Cain would be in the later half of the season. I respect your opinion, however I feel the writers are consistent with their plot. Jeremy Carver said seasons 8-10 was an arc he was making. Thus season 10 is the third act. Season 11 has been officially announced and I hope season 10 has a good cliffhanger to give us a reason to watch season 11. I’m sure they will. I’ve learned not to doubt the writers even when it seems they are going nowhere and at the end the main plot has been revealed all along. The thing I love about Season 10 is it hearkens back to Season 1 where you didn’t know what to expect in each next episode and the brothers are trying to fix their personal demons.
