‘The Flash’ spoilers: Grant Gustin teases Barry’s development, hope to stop Reverse Flash

The Flash -While we saw the official debut of the Reverse Flash as a villain on the midseason finale for “The Flash,” we know now that there are many other stories still to come with him.

With this being said, patience is going to very much be the key to trying to understand fully just what Barry needs to do in order to defeat him. It is going to involve further training, understanding who he is, and also at the same time understanding better just what he is up against.

This is something that Grant Gustin laid out further in a chat with Entertainment Weekly, explaining how some specific goals are going to be what the Flash needs to achieve in order to get to the next level:

“We’re exploring the vibrating a lot going forward and what the vibrating can do … And how to slow things down, see things and survey situations with time stopped, essentially.”

In case you were wondering, Gustin played it coy on if there could be a time-travel component to some of the upcoming stories … but we would lead towards “likely.” Time travel has always been a huge part of the Flash story in the comics, and it seems fairly obvious that this is one of the skills that Harrison Wells is bringing to the table as his own version of the Reverse Flash character. He has the upper hand with Barry, but it also seems like he has a particular agenda, and he really wants him alive.
