NBC’s ‘The Voice’ finale: See Matt McAndrew’s ‘Wasted Love’ video

Matt -Tonight, “The Voice” featured the final four contestants all performing their coronation songs, but the series did a little more than just that in an attempt to really launch these artists into genuine stars in the music world: They gave them all music videos!

We’re going to have separate article for each video, but we have to start here with Matt McAndrew, since we genuinely feel like this may be the best coronation song that “The Voice” has ever had on their show. It at least has a great melody, and seems to equate well with who Matt is.

We really do feel like this could be at least a good performer on iTunes, and that is the most important thing to winning the show. That is a big honor, and probably one that Matt would really like to have. However, at the same time the prize at the end of this show is nothing compared to having a big career. If he wants to have a long-lasting one, then finding a spot in the sort of indie-folk-rock world may be the right place for him. This can be a good platform for that, and he has represented himself very well.

We’re not going to say that the video is the most creative thing we’ve ever seen, but given the tight production window and not even knowing he was a finalist until a week ago, it is still pretty darn impressive. Let’s look out for more in the future.
