NBC’s ‘The Voice’ results: Are Matt McAndrew, Craig Wayne Boyd, Chris Jamison set to grace finale?
While there may be a little bit of drama when it comes to who is going to advance as a wild card for the finale of “The Voice,” there is not going to be much when it comes to who are the final three … at least according to some of the latest sales data on iTunes.
What may be a surprise to you right now is that based on sales, Craig Wayne Boyd is the most popular of the entire group with his take on “The Old Rugged Cross.” This is proof once again that there is a huge religious fanbase out there, and they never receive the sort of public attention for these shows as other followings do. They will also buy up music in droves. Clearly, if Craig wants to win this show, he’ll do something in a similar vein against next week.
Meanwhile, both Matt McAndrew and Chris Jamison also had top ten hits with “Make It Rain” and “The Old Rugged Cross.” Chris is closing in on two with “Sugar,” provided that it can hold on to its current position at #10.
As for the rest of the show tonight, Taylor John Williams and Damien will get a chance still to be the wild-card, and Taylor probably will end up being the favorite for that. Still, watch out for DaNica Shirey or the previous #VoiceSave king Ryan Sill, who would send some people into cardiac arrest if he somehow manages to pull off a spot in the finale next week.
For now, though, most of the results seem set in stone. We’ll just have to see what happens from here.
