‘The Mentalist’ season 7, episode 2 preview: Robin Tunney’s Lisbon goes undercover

“The Mentalist” is back on CBS! Are you excited? Well, we can tell you that there is some more great stories that lie ahead, including one that is going to be very fun for the Lisbon character next week.

Robin Tunney seems to be getting the spotlight for “The Greybar Hotel” next week, which is an episode that has a certain “Orange Is the New Black” theme to us. The irony here is that the show, which always does use colors in its episode titles, didn’t go for something orange here. Maybe it would be a little too on-the-nose here.

“Lisbon goes undercover as a prison inmate in order to get a convict to turn on her boyfriend, who is the leader of a high-end car theft ring.”

There is a promo video for this episode that you can see below, but it is not exactly the most revealing one that we’ve ever seen. Basically, it just gives you a few assorted notes about some of the characters and cases ahead. It really does not look even like one that is focusing on an individual episode necessarily.

There are at least 12 more episodes of the show ahead, so hopefully along the way we are going to see some more developments when it comes to Jane and Lisbon.
