‘The Walking Dead’ season 5, episode 9: Air date, hints for Andrew Lincoln, cast
Tonight’s new episode of “The Walking Dead” is meant to tie together everything that we’ve seen this fall … and of course also doing a few things to surprise the heck out of you.
So what comes beyond this? We’ll start this article by handing over a simple date: Sunday, February 9. That is when this show is going to return to AMC with new episodes, and it will be doing so with an episode written by showrunner Scott M. Gimple and directed by Greg Nicotero. Isn’t that a great one-two combination of awesome? We like to think so. This is the same team who was responsible for the season 5 premiere, and they definitely did a fantastic job with that insane episode of TV.
There are always frustrations with this long a delay, but the positive spin we can give you is that there will be new episodes airing on Sundays the rest of the season after that point.
After watching the episode, there were a few assorted clips of what will be coming up, but admittedly, it was hard to process the majority of it. We were still reeling by and large from everything that we saw with the death of Beth, and what that means specifically for people like Daryl Dixon and her own sister Maggie. We have the new promo for you below, but let it be clear that this may not necessarily just be for the premiere; there could be stuff in here from the rest of the season, as well.
