‘The X Factor’ UK results: Queen, Adam Lambert, Ella Henderson, and Union J perform

The judges -Tonight, “The X Factor” really stuffed in as many different performers as humanly possible within the span of a single show. We started off with a group performance from Union J, and they led into ones from Ella Henderson and Queen with Adam Lambert. It’s the first time all season we’ve had three performances.

We’ll start here with the boys from Union J, who we personally like more than any other boy band to come out of the show. Maybe we’ll get hate for that, but whatever. We just love the blend that these guys have with each other, and with their sound and adult-contemporary, they are preparing to have a long career in the industry. Great harmonies tonight with “You Got It All.”

Also, we went from here to Ella Henderson, who made her own long-awaited return to the show tonight. Her performance was completely stripped-down musically, but a nice reminder of how great her voice was. Basically, this entire night was a reminder of how the artists this season may be good, but we’re not quite sure that they are ready for primetime on this level. Then again, Ella and Union J have had a couple of years to work on this since the show.

The main event for us was ironically the opening act, as Queen with Adam Lambert took the stage to perform “Somebody to Love.” Was there any doubt that this was going to be amazing? The contestants this season joined them at times to form a pretty wonderful little choir to go along with the performance. If you love the band, and you love these contestants, then this was perfect.
