‘The X Factor’ UK results: Was Lauren Platt, Ben Haenow, or Stereo Kicks eliminated?
Yesterday, the final five performed on an episode of “The X Factor” where we were very much left wondering one thing: Is there a consensus pick for who could go home?
The only thing we felt fairly confident about was that Ben Haenow would probably be safe, and Andrea Faustini more than likely got a boost following his time in the bottom two. From there, things were a little murkier. Fleur East had her weakest show in weeks, Lauren Platt had the misfortune of going first on the night, and Stereo Kicks had been in danger before. Someone has to go at this point, and there is no clear pick for who it could be.
Eventually, we were left with a bottom two of Lauren versus Stereo Kicks, and this one should be interesting. You have an act that has spent a ton of time in jeopardy this season, and then an act who is feeling the pain for the first time tonight.
After listening to the sing-off, though, we would actually go with Stereo Kicks, and this surprised us! Just listening to how amazing their harmonies were tonight was a reminder of how far they’ve come this season. Early on, it felt like they were just guys standing around singing in turn.
With that being said, deadlock saved Lauren, and we’re not that upset about it given that she also gave a great performance, as well. With that being said, we don’t think we’ll see the best of her this season. She needs a record deal and about a year to grow; from there, she could be incredible and a genuine star.
