‘Longmire’ season 4: Want to celebrate Netflix renewal further?

“Longmire” supporters, you know better than anyone that you’ve had a long few months. There was no information for a long time regarding the show’s fate, and even from the media perspective, we weren’t hearing much until Netflix started to look more and more like the show’s savior.

Now, you can breathe in and know that the show is coming back. We’ve written extensively about the show’s season 4 pickup over on the streaming service already, and hopefully through that you saw some of the other details, as well: Filming should start in March in New Mexico, there will be ten episodes (the same order as the third season), and there is no release date for the episodes yet. Given the way that Netflix releases them all at once, we imagine that you are probably not going to see them come out until late summer at the very earliest. With typical network schedules, sometimes actors are still even working on late-season episodes at around the time the premiere airs.

So what better way to celebrate the pickup than with another stampede? We’ve been getting this information out about these for months, and the difference between this one and some of the others is that rather than having a social-media takeover to get a network to pick up the show, this one is all about rejoicing, and paying tribute to Netflix at the same time for their willingness to make a move.

Therefore, the hashtag for Monday night at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time is #LongmireOnNetflix. Remember that if you want it to trend, it is better not to use it until the stampede actually starts.

We’re going to have more “Longmire” notes pieces about what the cast and crew are up to in the weeks ahead, so be on the lookout for those. We’re also going to leave you here with a message from Cassidy Freeman, which was not online at the time we wrote our initial reactions article.
