‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6, episode 9 preview: Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, questions in ‘I Alone’

Nina Dobrev -Thursday night’s new episode of “The Vampire Diaries” is entitled “I Alone,” and that is certainly foreboding in itself, now isn’t it? This may feel even more like it is the case once you find out a little bit more about this episode.

Moving into this episode, we learned a few more details about Kai’s past, and how Jo actually ended up playing such a big role in trapping him. All of this is still going to be a part of the story, but you are also going to see Elena and Damon struggling with a variety of different topics as they hope to get Bonnie back. As per usual, the official synopsis released by the CW is extensive, and you can see it below:

“Damon (Ian Somerhalder) finds himself in hot water after he carries out a plan that requires Alaric’s (Matt Davis) unwilling participation. When Elena (Nina Dobrev) shares some hopeful news with Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) about Bonnie (Kat Graham), she is caught off guard by his reaction. Liv (guest star Penelope Mitchell) helps Damon and Elena with their plan to get Bonnie back, but when things take an unexpected turn, she’s left with a difficult choice to make. Elsewhere, Matt (Zach Roerig) takes matters into his own hands when Enzo’s (Michael Malarkey) actions cross the line, and Kai’s (guest star Chris Wood) existence continues to be a dangerous threat.”

There are not many episodes left this season, so with that in mind, expect to see the pace pick up for the Bonnie story, and for our questions as to whether or not we are going to see Kai terrorizing all for the majority of this season.
