‘Game of Thrones’ season 5: Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, more to appear in Telltale game

Tyrion -While we are not a video-game site, there are so many connections between Telltale’s upcoming “Game of Thrones” series and the HBO show that it is worth reporting on today, especially when so many regulars from the world of the series are involved.

Specifically, it was announced today that the likes of Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Snow), and Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell) have all lent their likenesses and their voice to the series, which will give it more of an air of authenticity than it would have otherwise. There are more actors from the show participating, and they will be announced at a later date.

For those uninitiated, the Telltale series is based off of the events of the show more than the George R.R. Martin books, but will feature the members of House Forrester, which is a part of the books but has yet to play a role on the show. This enables them to be a part of the same world as the one devised by David Benioff and Dan Weiss without stepping on any toes.

As for platforms, it will be available for download on a variety of different systems and computers upon its release. Telltale had the honor of making this game after proving their mettle with the “Walking Dead” video games, and have proved themselves to be one of the best developers of licensed games to date. Typically, we would tell you almost right away that this sort of game would be terrible, since the majority of them are; luckily, we have a company now changing things.

“Game of Thrones” season 5 is now wrapping up filming, and will premiere on HBO come late March or early April. We’ll have further news then, so stay tuned!
