‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: New look at Cupid (and a shirtless Ray Palmer!)

Wednesday night’s new episode of “Arrow” is entitled “Draw Back Your Bow,” and you could potentially see more archers per square mile than any other story so far. You have Malcolm Merlyn and Roy Harper potentially out there, Ra’s al Ghul may know a thing or two about a bow, and you also have the arrival of Carrie Cutter a.k.a. Cupid into the fold.

This character can be seen in this first-look photo from the episode, looking just about as crazy as you probably expected. Cupid is a villain who doesn’t exactly have a goal like world domination or murdering a ton of people. She just wants to be with the Arrow, and she seems to be fairly willing to do just about anything and everything to make sure that this happens. There are totally some “Fatal Attraction” vibes that are going on here.

Speaking of matters of the heart, how about a shirtless Ray Palmer! Has he found Oliver Queen’s salmon ladder? We’ve definitely seen some proof that he’s at least found someone’s salmon ladder, but this photo is more geared around the potential tension between Brandon Routh’s character and Felicity Smoak.

The great thing about Ray so far is that he doesn’t seem like a complete jerk, and it makes him a whole lot more complicated that way. He’s not a villain, and the only real reason to root against him right now is because he’s a professional rival to Oliver, and he may be trying to date Felicity to go along with it. At a certain point, it would be understandable if she developed a little bit of an interest here, as well, given that he has treated her extremely well so far.
