‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4, episode 8 spoilers: Elizabeth Mitchell on the Snow Queen’s intentions
Tomorrow night’s new episode of “Once Upon a Time” is going to run for a whopping two hours, and it is due to that you are going to have so many opportunities to see all of the characters. This includes the Snow Queen, whose true intentions have started to become a little bit clearer. Not only that, but we also know more of her past.
What may be the most surprising about this character is that despite of all of her evil actions, this is a woman who seemingly does want something very simple in the end, and that motivation is similar to Zelena, Peter Pan, or many of the show’s other villains: She wants to be able to be a part of something, and feel included. She just goes about it in all the wrong ways.
Speaking on this subject to Entertainment Weekly, Elizabeth Mitchell ultimately had the following to say:
“She just wants love … It’s not like romantic love. I don’t think her head works that way. She’s too young really for that, inside her mind. She wants her two sisters. She wants that feeling of belonging again. She didn’t know that she had that love and when it was gone, she knew she had it.”
We are in a way a little frustrated by the same theme taking shape on the show just about every year. While we do love that there are so many great villains, can’t someone just be evil for evil’s sake? We know that it is better to have these villains be complicated, but we also want them to be different.
