‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ episode 7 preview: ‘Test of Strength’ could be trouble for Finn Wittrock’s Dandy

So far on “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” Michael Chiklis’ character of Dell has hardly shown himself to be a good guy. While we’re sure that his secret weighs on him and is one of the reasons for his behavior, but it doesn’t excuse it in the slightest. He’s violent, he’s angry, and above all else, he is trouble. It doesn’t seem like there is any bona fida way to stop him from causing problems.

Well, some of the women within Elsa Mars’ freak show are going to try when the next new episode airs a week from tonight. The title here in “Test of Strength” immediately brings him to mind, and the synopsis below puts him front and center:

“The women of the Freak Show rally against Dell after his latest act of violence. A strange encounter with Dandy raises Jimmy’s suspicion about the clown murders.”

Is there too much Dell on the show right now? We have to admit that he is far from our favorite, given that many of his reveals have not been particularly shocking, even if we love Michael Chiklis and are so glad to see that he found a place on this show.

To us right now, Dandy is the star of the show, and Finn Wittrock is absolutely amazing at bringing this guy’s creepiness to the surface, and a possible supporting actor candidate come awards season. Anytime he and Evan Peters have scenes together is a cause for celebration.
