‘Beauty and the Beast’ season 3: Kristin Kreuk on People’s Choice nod; we talk premiere date

The latest -While there may not be a whole lot of breaking news right now when it comes to the third season of “Beauty and the Beast,” we are at least able to celebrate some love that the series received from the People’s Choice Awards!

We feel like this achievement is really one of the most impressive feats that any fans of a show pulled off, mostly because we are talking here not only about a show with a smaller viewership than almost everything else on the ballot, but also one that hasn’t been on the air since the summer. This marks loyalty! The tweet below from star Kristin Kreuk is just one small token of appreciation.

Oh, and be sure to head over here to give Kreuk a vote.

Now, let’s also spend a moment or two talking about something that everyone is almost always curious about: Premiere dates! When could season 3 actually premiere on the network? Well, unless The CW wants to shelve “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” at some point in the future, the only timeslot that seems to be open at the moment is Friday nights at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, following the finale of “Hart of Dixie” in March. If it wants to replace the sketch show, it could do so a couple of months earlier … but we’re not sure Friday nights is where we would want to be.

If we were a fan of “Beauty and the Beast,” we’d almost root at the moment for a premiere in the late spring, possibly after one of the shows on Monday-Thursday wraps up. While this requires a lot of patience, it also helps to ensure that you get the largest audience possible. Anything to make a season 4 happen!
