‘Doctor Who’ season 8, episode 12 (finale) spoilers: ‘Death in Heaven’ photo features the Master
When the season 8 finale of “Doctor Who” airs on BBC One Saturday, there is one thing that you can almost definitely expect: Insanity. The first photo released by the network seems to be making that much very clear.
In this image, you can see the Doctor (Peter Capaldi), Clara (Jenna Coleman), and the new villain for the final episode Missy, who goes by a little more of a familiar name right now in The Master.
First of all, we know that there has been a great deal of buzz already about the character being made female this time, which certainly excites us. Ultimately, we feel like so long as the writing and performing are there and you have the right people involved, you can make anyone from the Doctor to the Master to the Companion almost anyone. The only thing we ever ask for is that you don’t just do things for the sake of doing them or making some sort of state. This is why we like this twist so much.
Basically, with an army of Cybermen at her disposal, this looks like one of the most dangerous finales yet. Not only does the Doctor have to contend with this very real and obvious opponent, but also the emotional challenge of Clara trying to figure out what her future holds. If she can get back Danny Pink, who knows what she is going to choose for herself moving forward. Let’s just hope for a surprise.
