‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8 spoilers: More ‘prom’ photos of Jim Parsons, Mayim Bialik, more

While we are still not entire sure about it just yet story-wise, Thursday night’s new episode of “The Big Bang Theory” can at least claim ownership of one thing: Having some of the more interesting photos that we’ve seen leading up one airing. Then again, how many times do you really get a chance to relive a prom in TV form?

For many of these characters, this episode represents a real opportunity to actually leave their past in the past, and focus a little bit on some other things, such as enjoying the moment and the relationships that they are in. We cannot imagine that someone like Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik) had a particularly easy time while in high school, and that is probably why she looks so giddy in the attached photo. Even Sheldon is smiling!

The most awkward one here has to go to Stuart and Jeanie (guest star Kara Luiz), Howard’s cousin who is infamous for a certain story he told years ago. We imagine that it has to be all sorts of uncomfortable that she is there, especially since it is also equally possible that this entire date was set up by none other than Howard’s mother, who is frustrating him more than we can ever write in an article here.

If nothing else, at least Howard can take a little bit of consolation that it doesn’t look like Jeanie and Stuart are enjoying their time together … though he doesn’t seem a whole lot happier in his photo here with Bernadette. For some reason, we haven’t see a still like this for Raj and Emily, though they will be in this episode.
