‘Arrow’ season 3, episode 5 preview: A look inside ‘The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak’
We know that there were many looking forward specifically to tonight’s “Arrow” season 3 episode entitled “The Magician,” but at the same time, there were also many who were just as excited about what is coming up later on next week: “The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak.”
This is the episode that will first and foremost, provide you with some necessary backstory on who this computer programmer is, and what ended up making her into someone capable of working at Queen Consolidated. At the same time, though, she also has to figure out how something that she wrote years ago is now coming back to haunt her. Nolan Funk (“Glee”) is set to guest-star, and you can see more of what to expect in the synopsis below:
“When a cyber attack brings Starling City to its knees, Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) are pushed to their limits to contain the destruction. Life gets even more complicated for Felicity when her mother, Donna (guest star Charlotte Ross), stops by for a surprise visit. Meanwhile, Ted Grant (guest star JR Ramirez) questions Laurel’s (Katie Cassidy) motives, and Thea (Willa Holland) buys an apartment with Malcolm’s (John Barrowman) “estate” money, which infuriates Oliver.”
In the end, it seems like there really is quite a bit to enjoy from this episode here, and it ultimately does not matter at all if you are a fan of the Felicity character or not to enjoy some of it. Stay tuned for more updates.
