‘Glee’ season 6 spoilers: A surprising co-star for Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, cast
We’ve seen “Glee” work with a variety of guest stars over the years, but this one may be particularly unbearable.
In the post on Twitter below, you can see Lea Michele alongside some of her co-stars Darren Criss, Chris Colfer, and even special guest star Max Adler (who will be a significant part of the final season as Karofsky) alongside none other than a bear cub. It’s actually rather adorable, but we could understand Lea being a little nervous at first. Luckily, there was a bear handler on set to take care of any particularly-scary situations.
At the moment, “Glee” is at least a decent distance into filming what is the show’s final season, which is coming into the picture with high expectations to revitalize what has become a lackluster show over the years. In particular, it felt during season 5 that Ryan Murphy and the producers were focused on “The Normal Heart,” “American Horror Story,” or some other projects and they therefore allowed this one to suffer slightly as a result.
Hopefully, this is an opportunity for the series to really end in the way that it deserves, and that is with a memorable story that paves the way for the future for these people. While season 5 was a stroke of idealism that Rachel, Kurt, and company could go to New York and be instant stars, this is more of a dose of reality. Dreams can come true, but it is a one in a million chance that almost everything is going to fall into your lap right away.

I actually liked season 5 – at least, on the NYC side. The storylines for Kurt, Rachel and Naya were fun and stimulating, as was the potential for even better ones. Blaine had morphed into even more of an immature character, but (once he and the other s5 grads got to NYC), Kurt and Blaine were able to actually TALK (mostly with Kurt working at it and Blaine learning how to do so). Rachel, however, was on a self-destructive slide…I’m guessing it’ll turn out that he doing so was part of her grief at Finn’s loss. Sadly, s6 is taking us back to the HS halls, with Rachel – the least likely person to successfully mentor anyone – trying to rebuild ND. Let’s face it: Rachel’s track record for working well with others has not been good: diva storm offs, hogging spotlight (even for non-competition numbers), sabotage, endangering others (can you say “crack house?”)… Yes, she has had her moments, but usually when someone finally confronts her about it. I love Rachel – but I would NOT want her (or Blaine) showing my kid how to work together in a group. Both are used to being center stage, seldom sharing the spotlight.
