‘Game of Thrones’ season 5: Natalie Dormer lands lead in another project

Natalie speaks out -One of the amazing things about being a “Game of Thrones” cast member is that you can do this show, and then at the same time have so much other open time in your schedule to really do almost anything and everything else that you want.

This is especially a good thing right now when it comes to Natalie Dormer. The actress, known for playing Margaery Tyrell on the HBO drama, has just been brought on board the new supernatural thrilled “The Forest,” which is produced by David Goyer of “Da Vinci’s Demons.”

The story here revolves around an American woman searching for her twin sister in Japan’s legendary Aokigahara forest. This is a place marked by an extremely high suicide rate, and known by many for being haunted. With all of this in mind, it doesn’t come as a tremendous shock that someone would want to make a movie out of this.

The clear winner in this new is Dormer, given that she gets another chance to be in something that is very cool and interesting. However, at the same time the clear loser in this is “Elementary,” given that this means even less time moving forward to try and bring Dormer back as Moriarty / Irene Adler. This is the problem when you try and cast an up-and-coming actress for a role on your show without making them a regular; they go on to do other things, and suddenly you’re left with a situation where you have to sit around and hope that she will have some time in her schedule again soon.

The new season of “Game of Thrones” will premiere on HBO come spring 2015.
