‘The Fosters’ season 2 spoilers: See official details for Christmas Special
Are you in the holiday spirit yet? Well, it’s understandable if you’re not, given that this is only October and we don’t tend to get into it until after Thanksgiving.
Even if you’re not putting lights on your house just yet, maybe you can still appreciate some of the first details for the holiday special of “The Fosters” airing on Monday, December 8. The title for this one is “Christmas Past,” and in the synopsis below, you can see some of what Callie, Jude, and the rest of the kids are going through:
“As Callie and Jude spend their first Christmas with the Fosters, Callie feels the sting of still being an official foster kid while Jude’s guilt over having been adopted has him overcompensating. Stef feels that Grandma Sharon’s (guest star Annie Potts, “Any Day Now”) gift giving is excessive, especially when she learns where the money is coming from. Lena must face her own bias against another family member.
“Meanwhile, Jesus enters the neighborhood house decorating competition and is accused of cheating by his neighbor Mr. Nesbit (guest star Michael Fairman, “The Young and the Restless”).”
We ultimately feel like this hour is meant to almost be a transitional one for many of the characters, and it will take them from where they were during the summer half of this season and where they are going to be early next year. Will there be some developments? Probably, but given that this is the holidays, we’d be surprised if there is anything that devastating that takes place.
