‘NCIS’ season 12, episode 5 video: See Mark Harmon’s Gibbs do battle with pirates

There is still something old-school and charming about pirate stories, even if we are not talking so much about the ones with peg legs, eye patches, and parrots on their shoulders.

Tuesday night’s new episode of “NCIS” is entitled “The San Dominick,” and based on the new extended promo that CBS has released for this particular hour right now, we are talking about something that will feel more like “Captain Phillips” than anything else.

Here is what we are up against. Things start off this week as a training exercise, but when pirates swoop in, both the CGIS and NCIS are going to work together in order to sort things out, save a captain, and keep the high seas safe. It looks like Gibbs (Mark Harmon) is in particular going to have more to do in this episode than he has since the premiere.

Also, we better hope that Harmon put on some sunblock before going out to do this episode. This looks like probably the hottest, most uncomfortable episode that the show has done since starting things up this summer, and having the confined space and lack of shade probably isn’t a whole lot of help. (With that being said, it’s hard to know just how much time any of these cast members actually spent on a boat.)
