‘Homeland’ season 4, episode 4 preview: Saul tries to understand Sandy’s murder

The latest -If there is one person in the world of “Homeland” we’d be the most nervous about having a conversation with, it’d be Saul by and large for one simple reason: You never quite know what he is up to. He never quite yells at you or gets particularly angry with any of his interrogations, and sometimes, you don’t even quite know that he may actually be interrogating you until you are actually into the process.

This seems to be the M.O. for Mandy Patinkin’s character in the latest sneak peek below from Sunday night’s new episode, as he continues to work tirelessly to get a little more information on the subject of just what happened to Sandy. While Saul may be as diligent as possible, he is not having a particularly easy time getting answers out of a man who is just about on his same level of intelligence.

What we have learned about this character so far this season, perhaps even more than ever before, is that he is not a man who has any desire within him to give up … possibly ever. After all, he is continue trying to press on getting this job done, even though he doesn’t have the same role in the government that he once did. Private-sector life just isn’t for him, and while that may be a good thing for the future of America, it’s probably not a good thing for anyone who actually knows him.
