‘The Walking Dead’ season 5, episode 2 preview: Carl interrupts Bob and Sasha

Carl -Who knew that Bob would actually be working his mojo on “The Walking Dead“? The guy actually has something to be happy about right now other than booze, which to us probably means that he’ll die soon, since nobody on this show every seems to be happy for longer than just a few short minutes.

In the new sneak peek below for Sunday night’s new episode, we actually get to see Bob and Sasha kiss! Specifically, they do so twice, and actually seem to be enjoying one another’s company. Tyreese smiles as well, which to us makes this feel like a very different, relieving sort of environment for this role. They may not be safe, but they’re at least not locked up at Terminus together or something just as awful. Compared to most of the series’ run, being on the road with guns is no big deal at all.

However, we could already say that we have someone that has to go and interrupt everyone’s good time: Carl. When he hears someone in the woods, he encourages his dad to rush ahead and try to help. We suppose it’s better than Carl just deciding to shoot someone, but still, it’s not exactly the sort of thing that puts the rest of the group in a good position.

The whole focus of this season seems to be getting to Washington in order to have Eugene start to work on the cure for the apocalypse, and the drama that lies within here will be finding out if they can actually make it there. Getting some tension into the story along the way will be the challenge, especially since we can’t see them arriving anytime soon.
