‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’: Finn Wittrock talks playing Dandy

Freak Show -Going into “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” we knew that we would have a great character in Twisty the Clown. However, who would’ve known that we find someone almost equally creepy in Dandy?

This is a man who, at least on paper, really should have a lot going for him. He’s good-looking, insanely wealthy, and has countless resources at his disposal. However, at the same time, it is pretty clear that there is something more than a little off about the guy. This week, he became so obsessed with the freak show that he wanted to join it, and had a meltdown when he couldn’t. This led to his mother getting him a clown of his own (Twisty) to play with, and when he eventually found out that this clown was a little deadly rather than a little funny, that only made him all the more interested. Now, he may be the partner-in-crime to our Big Bad of the season.

In the new video below via FX, actor Finn Wittrock does his best to take you through some of the storylines regarding this character, including what we’ve seen from him so far and what a Twisty – Dandy alliance could look like. Wittrock was in Ryan Murphy’s “The Normal Heart,” but we have a feeling that this could be the role that really propels him to the next level of fame. He may not be someone you are familiar with now, but his performance is so good, it makes you take notice.
