‘Chicago Fire’ season 3, episode 5 preview: Casey’s sister; Dawson’s struggles
Tonight, we continued to see the crew on “Chicago Fire” try to adapt into some new roles … and this is something that we are going to see continue to build up steam going into the next new episode. Just to make things even more complicated, Casey is also going to have to deal with family.
The episode airing next week is entitled “The Nuclear Option,” and the struggles of his sister and her divorce are going to stand front and center. Meanwhile, Regina will still suffer as she tries to handle being on the front lines, and there’s still that crazy story when it comes to the gang over at Molly’s. Take a look at the synopsis below for some further details:
“Lieutenant Casey (Jesse Spencer) deals with the fallout of his sister Christie’s (guest star Nicole Forester) impending divorce. Meanwhile, Dawson (Monica Raymund) and Mills (Charlie Barnett) settle into their new roles at Station 51. Elsewhere, Brett (Kara Kilmer) can’t decide if she wants to leave Chicago and the Molly’s crew still can’t figure out how to get the food truck started.”
We’re starting to feel in a little bit of a comfort zone finally for this season, and most because tonight was a major step forward for Severide. The Dawson story works for us, mostly because this serves as a nice opportunity to learn a few more things about how a newcomer ultimately starts to adapt to this position on the force. So many of the others at this point are veterans.
