‘The Amazing Race 25’ episode 3 review: Did Michael & Scott’s injury lead to elimination?

Michael and Scott -The first thing that we have to say about Friday night’s new episode of “The Amazing Race 25” is this: This was quite an awesome location. We haven’t seen much of the Shetland Islands, so it was very interesting to see what this part of remote Scotland was really like.

While the tasks were fairly simple this week, they were also still fun. We had sheep-herding, pony-walking, and also awesome Vikings who love to scream a whole lot. So long as you were patient and you really studied how to succeed rather than going nuts, you could do these tasks without too much of a problem.

Misti & Jim won the leg, and we’re getting the sense that they really could be one of the best teams we’ve seen on the show. The only thing we worry about is this: What happens when one of them does a Roadblock, and the other starts to freak out? They are so intense that we still worry.

Throughout, we were worried about firemen Michael & Scott, and whether or not an ankle injury would do them in. At times, it looked that way. The sheep-herding seemed like the hardest task that they were forced to encounter, but they somehow actually still made their way out of this in a place other than last. The same goes for Brooke & Robbie, who struggled earlier with the detour.

The struggle from first to last actually came in trying to identify the origin of the clue at the end of the herding task. This was supposed to send them to an island, but they basically decided to go to a bar for advice on what the clue means. It actually wasn’t sheep or the ankle that ended up doing them in; instead, it was one little mistake over a clue that sent them to the wrong place. Grade: B.
