‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6, episode 2 preview: Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder in ‘Yellow Ledbetter’

Nina Dobrev -Tonight, the season 6 premiere of “The Vampire Diaries” showed us that Elena Gilbert was in no real position to heal after losing the love of her life in Damon. As a matter of fact, she was not even in the mood to process it at all, using herbs in order to have pretend conversations with a man who had moved on somewhere else.

So where does she go from here, now that she is actually trying to heal? Next week’s episode is entitled “Yellow Ledbetter” (which is the title for a Pearl Jam) song, and if you want to find out some more news in terms of what you can expect, take a look at the official synopsis below:

“Knowing she needs to come to terms with the loss of Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Elena (Nina Dobrev) turns to Alaric (Matt Davis) to help her move on with her life. Enzo (Michael Malarkey) convinces Caroline (Candice Accola) to join him as he tracks down a lead to get Damon and Bonnie (Kat Graham) back, but Caroline is shocked when they make an unexpected detour and uncover what Stefan (Paul Wesley) has been up to. Meanwhile, Matt (Zach Roerig) worries about Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) who is spending time with Sarah (guest star Gabrielle Walsh), a mysterious girl who has recently arrived in Mystic Falls. Elsewhere, Tripp (guest star Colin Ferguson), leader of the community protection program, makes an interesting confession to Matt about his connection to the town. Lastly, with the Other Side destroyed and gone for good, Damon and Bonnie reluctantly band together to uncover the mystery of where they are and how they are going to get back home.”

This episode is most likely going to be more than eventually, especially as we start to figure out more of who this Tripp guy really is, and if he is someone we should fear … even at all. There are a lot of moving pieces here, and what we are really excited to see is more of the actual Damon / Bonnie storyline.
