‘The Flash’ spoilers: Let’s talk about villains!
It may not be October 7 just yet, but we are not that far away from seeing the return of what has to be one of the most-anticipated news shows of the whole fall in “The Flash.” It’s an iconic superhero, and one that has not been done on the television medium in a good while. That allows the show to give new life to many of these characters, and based on the preview video below, that seems to be a major focus for almost everyone involved.
In this clip, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg and Gerg Berlanti discuss who they personally believe to be some of the best comic villains out there, and how some really are not going to be forced to wait very long at all to see some of their favorites pop up on the screen. At the moment, we’d classify these villains into three different groups.
- The obviously evil – Here, we’re talking about folks like Girder, Captain Cold, and others who come on the show and are pretty clearly evil from the get-go.
- The possibly evil – We’d classify Shrapnel in here for now, since the show has not made it clear yet how their TV version will differ from the one in the comics.
- The will-be-evil-someday – For right now, we’d place Caitlin Snow here. If Killer Frost does not become a villain at some point, we would be thoroughly disappointed. She is one of the strongest villains out there in the DC canon, even though she’s known more as an adversary for Firestorm than Barry Allen’s alter ego.
