‘America’s Got Talent’ spoilers: Mike Super, Wendy Liebman among wild-card picks

The “America’s Got Talent” judges have made their wild card picks official, and we have to say that there are at least some good choices in here. However, there is also one or two that have us somewhat curious what the strategy was.

We begin here with the positives. Howie Mandel chose Mike Super to bring his magic to the next round, which to us was the slam-dunk choice. Regardless of whether or not he continues the Desmond gimmick, his tricks are legitimately cool and actually more inventive than some of the other magic acts who are still in the competition.

Meanwhile, Howard Stern made a solid pick with Wendy Liebman. Would we have preferred Dan Naturman? Sure, but we feel like Wendy was very funny in her last set, and probably was damaged most by being on a night with a ton of really good acts on it.

Now, we turn to the other two choices made by the judges. We feel okay about Heidi Klum picking Flight Crew Jump Rope; even though they probably won’t advance again, they were extremely well-rehearsed last time and should bring some good energy. But Mel B picking the Bad Boys of Ballet? We didn’t think that they did anything at all to really stand out, and we would have much preferred Mothmen Dance if she was going to go in that direction.

With all of this being said, we still really feel like Mike is probably the only one of these acts who could have a real shot at advancing. The only thing that probably hurt him with his last trick was that it looked like he was actually hurting Mel, and that freaked some folks out.
