‘The Originals’ season 2 spoilers: Meet Ingrid

Ready to find out the latest recurring character to be jumping into the world of “The Originals“? Well, we come bearing good news now if you like intriguing new people entering the world of the show.

According to TVLine, producers for the CW series are currently in the process of getting a woman on board the show named Ingrid, who at least puts on the pretense of being barren (which may or may not be true) and wants to do anything that she can to have a child. This includes, seemingly, not being honest with her husband about anything. This character could really be involved in the story in a number of different ways, and we figure that we’ll have to wait and see where the series decides to go with this.

The one thing that we do at least know for a little while now is that you’re going to be seeing a wide array of different stories play out on the show when it returns, and whatever happens with Ingrid (which will not be until at least a few episodes in) is only the tip of the iceberg. The main story will see Klaus wrestling with the fact that both Mikael and Esther are back to make his life into a living hell, while some other plots will focus on Hayley’s devastation, and where Elijah fits into their worlds now in the wake of what happened during the finale. The show returns on Monday, October 6.
