‘Hell on Wheels’ season 4, episode 4 preview: Anson Mount’s Cullen and a ‘Reckoning’ ahead
What comes up next week on “Hell on Wheels“? The title for the episode is “Reckoning,” that certainly sounds intimidating enough on the surface! This should be one of the more intense episodes so far, given that we’ve been building up for some trouble to unfold in Cheyenne.
For one, Cullen is finally going to be immersed into the world of the railroad than he has so far, and that always leads to conflict in itself. Meanwhile, the showdown between the old guard in Cheyenne (lead by Durant and Mickey) and the new guard (led by John Campbell) feels pretty much imminent. While the brief summary for next week’s episode (per TV Guide) may not give everything away, it’s enough of a tease to get excited over:
“Cullen faces trouble at home as he takes railroad matters into his own hands. Meanwhile, Campbell makes a move against Durant and Mickey.”
The major cliffhanger that we’re moving into now is the physical state of Cullen after being attacked on the street; given that he’s mentioned in the description, he’s clearly going to be okay. The only question is how he will respond to this latest wave of aggression.
While there is some drama happening on the show, one thing you can celebrate now is that we’ve still got a great deal of show left to go this season! A major bit of congratulations has to be in order to AMC for giving us a longer run this year thanks to the show’s success on Saturdays.
