‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ spoilers: World’s smallest woman cast
The latest season of “American Horror Story” once again has brought an assortment of creative talent to the table … including some from rather unexpected places.
In a new post on Twitter, co-creator Ryan Murphy has confirmed that the world’s smallest woman in Jyoti Amge will be guest-starring on the show in some capacity. She is just over 2 feet tall, and is at present 20 years old. This is obviously a great opportunity for her to show off some acting skills, especially with the sort of actors who are on board this show. Jessica Lange in particular is who she was scene working with. (Lange plays the operator of a freak show in Jupiter, Florida.)
To us, Amge’s casting shows that she has a pretty thick skin when it comes to what is technically an honor, given that we’re sure that scripts for this show probably are not treating her character very well. After all, remember that “freaks” within these old freak shows were not often treated very well; just knowing the name itself there is it.
There are probably still some more great guest castings coming up for the new season, but for the time being, this and legendary singer Patti LaBelle are the two most-notable additions to the cast, which already includes the likes of Michael Chiklis, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Lange, Evan Peters, Emma Roberts, and also Angela Bassett. Basically, this is one of the best-cast shows on all of TV, and the fact that they are continually able to keep this ensemble together is amazing.
