‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5, episode 9 preview: An Ashley Benson, Tyler Blackburn scene
During the last “Pretty Little Liars” episode, we were somewhat critical of the story that somehow mane Ella’s new fiance Zack out to be a terrible person and a cheater. It’s not so much that we had faith in him being a great guy, but these revelations came out of nowhere after he looked so sweet and awesome last season.
At this point, though, the show has basically gone down the point of no return with this story, and there is no way that they can suddenly turn around and try to make him into a good guy. It’s virtually impossible. They have basically made their bed now, and they have to figure out how to get out of it.
For Hanna, the struggle is going to be finding a way to tell someone else about this guy who will actually believe her … and this includes Caleb. Luckily, we feel like he actually win be understanding enough to pay attention. She’s also got proof now in the form of the phone number that Zack gave her … so yeah, we can understand why she doesn’t want to go celebrate the upcoming marriage of him to Aria’s mother.
Luckily, this story will pick up steam pretty quickly here. Aria will start to wonder whether or not Hanna is telling the truth, and if this guy has been this flirty with her, you have to believe that he’s done it with other women as well.
Ultimately, we have two other observations here:
- Why do so many grown men in Rosewood hit on high school girls? This is a creepy town.
- It’s nice to have scenes between Ashley Benson and Tyler Blackburn again. The first few episodes of this season were sad without them.
