‘Halt and Catch Fire’ finale: Lee Pace on show’s journey, movies, and more (video)
The timing for “Halt and Catch Fire’s” season 1 finale really could not have been any better. The show wraps on AMC (at least for the time being) on Sunday night … which is right after Lee Pace spends much of the week on a publicity tour for “Guardians of the Galaxy.”
While the Marvel movie is of course the biggest subject of conversation in most TV interviews that he does, there’s still a little room for Joe MacMillan in there! For example, you can hear Pace discuss the show, its unveiling, and more to Seth Meyers on “Late Night” this week below. This is the first interview for Pace with the “Saturday Night Live” host, and they had only recently met right before this.
At the moment, we are basically hungry for whatever publicity that this show can possibly get. Despite the fact that it is brilliant and has so many great performances in it (Pace included), AMC has not announced whether or not it will be picked up for a second season. They also stalled recently on another show in “Turn” and waited until after “Hell on Wheels” was over to give it a season 4, so at least there is a little bit of precedence here. Still, there is a little bit of unnerving energy surrounding this, given that this is a show that we already adore, and want to see succeed for at least a little longer to finish telling the story. After all, you know that Joe may go even crazier now that he is aware of Apple starting to really get into the business with the Macintosh.
