‘The Bachelorette’ finale review: Did Andi Dorfman pick Nick Viall, Josh Murray; did they propose?

Tonight, “The Bachelorette” came to an end, and Andi Dorfman finally made her choice about whether or not she wanted to be with Nick Viall and Josh Murray for at least the near future. Maybe they end up getting married, or maybe this is one of the shorter relationships that the show has seen. It’s always hard to tell.

What we will say, though, is that through watching this episode, we actually found ourselves rooting more for Nick than Josh. He was the one who really had that passionate connection with her, with “passion” being the key word. While she and Josh Murray had something, it was to us far more superficial, and something that could work very well, but not on that same level. Nick and Andi had something crazy-intense, and different than almost anything that we’ve seen on this season. It’s like he was her Mr. Big, and Josh is the Aiden. We know why she went towards the latter, but it still feels like the former is the better choice.

The moment that Andi went to Nick’s hotel room early, though, we felt that there was trouble a-brewing. The show really decided to stretch this out as long as possible, talking to people we vaguely remember and also speculating about if it was at all possible that Andi showing up at Nick’s room was a good thing.

Of course, this breakup was sad, depressing, and everything else you expected and then some. Apparently, Nick has been trying to sit down with Andi for a long time to talk everything out, and she has not been interested in doing so. Didn’t this just get a little bit sadder?

So in the end, Andi finally picked Josh, and the entire episode eventually dissolved into awkward kissy-talk, and Josh name-dropping baseball within his first ten seconds of the speech. We can tell that the two were happy at the end of the episode, and they probably still are. We can still be happy for her, even if as a viewer we were hoping for a different outcome. Episode Grade: B-.
