‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 spoilers: Jennifer Morrison on Emma, Regina’s new struggle
We know that there is a legion of Swan Queen ‘shippers out there who are very interested in seeing Emma and Regina on “Once Upon a Time” together; however, for the time being the two may be more struggling to just not break out into war with each other.
The origins of the new feud are easy to figure out: Emma made the move to bring Marian into present-day Storybrooke, not knowing at the time who she was or the relationship that she had with Robin Hood. Unfortunately, doing this has caused Regina great heartache, and she now of course blames Emma for it.
Speaking at Comic-Con Saturday, Jennifer Morrison outlined some of the problems that her character will face thanks to this:
“It’s an impossible situation. I can’t apologize for saving a life. Yet I’m horrified that I’ve gotten in the way of Regina’s happiness … [This story] adds a nice element of conflict and concern and generosity.”
We know based on the panel that Regina is going to call on Sidney Glass from prison to do some sort of favor for her, and given everything that we’ve seen from this character already, he’ll do anything that he can to please a woman he’s in love with. Could his journey lead to him trying to murder Marian or shipping her off somewhere? We’re not putting it past him. Personally, our main goal here is to just see Giancarlo Esposito in as much of the story as humanly possible.
We do expect in the end for there to be some sort of attempt at compromise between Regina and Emma, mostly because they’re both fighting for the same thing in Henry. As bitter as the “Evil Queen” may be about Marian being back in the picture, she should know already by now that feuding with Emma is not the way to get what she wants.
