‘Big Brother 16’ review: Living in Christine’s world

Through watching the edited TV show that “Big Brother 16” put on the air tonight, we were only reminded that much more of how great a game Christine is playing. None of the women will put her up, thinking that she is with them. Meanwhile, none of the guys will put her up, given her status in the Detonators. She is really covered on all sides.

Not only that, but she’s done all of this through very little effort of her own. She’s just been in the right place at the right time, and used all of her relationships to her advantage. Eventually, she is going to have to form a different alliance to take out some of the guys, but the good news for her is that she is not completely there just yet and has a little bit of breathing room.

The rest of the episode was mostly spent telling us what we already knew with few entertaining segments, other than Victoria getting the most screen time that we have ever seen on the show so far. Unfortunately, we learned nothing other than that she really isn’t in this game at all. Most of the ladies are not. Christine and Nicole are the only two we see sticking around here in the long-term.

Also, we have to mention this: What in the world was Jocasta doing speaking in tongues? Also, why was Jocasta celebrating the fact that they won when she was terrible in this chess-themed challenge? Also, that “Team America” challenge was hardly that impressive, given that Amber as a physical threat was such a reach.

There needs to be something big to happen for this season to really turn around. At the moment, we’ve had a week of pretty mediocre action and little drama. Grade: C+.
