‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 spoilers: How early will you see Elsa?

In case you were wondering whether or not there would be some sort of extended wait before Elsa truly pops up on “Once Upon a Time,” here’s a little bit of good news for you: There’ll be no real waiting at all!

Based on filming schedules and the like, it looks like the show will waste almost no time integrating Georgina Haig into the proceedings as the character. She is already on set filming, but we’re going to keep the rest of the contents of this hush-hush for the time being.

As a matter of fact, allow us to detour for a minute to go on a mini-rant. We’re shocked to see today that there are even major publications putting up “first look photos” of Haig in the role, when they are really just in-the-moment paparazzi shots and not anything intentional. Then, fans are criticizing things based on out-of-context photos that are not designed to show off the character, the costume, or anything else. Why do that? These sort of photos completely destroy the illusion of the show.

By our estimation, we still consider the shot above to be one of the only few “official” photos of the Elsa character right now for the series. The only thing that we find particularly interesting for the time being is that she is the only character right now wandering around Storybrooke in the same famous costume that we know the character for. We certainly understand it given that it’s both iconic and recent, but you have to wonder if this blue dress that she magically created during “Let It Go” is going to be the same one we see on her all season long.
