‘Mistresses’ season 2, episode 8 preview: April’s relationship troubles and more

Given that this show is called “Mistresses,” it only makes sense that there will be some stories that were about … well, actually mistresses. There hasn’t really been a ton of that this season so far, but that seems to be changing courtesy of April.

In this particular sneak peek video below, what you get is a long look at just what happens in the morning after her “evening” with a married man, and how quickly she seems to regret everything that she just did. She questions what his wife must be thinking, her own morals, and about a billion more things before telling him that if there is a future for the two parties, she will be the one doing the calling rather than him.

It’s always hard to say where the stories on this show are going to go, but the one thing we feel pretty confident about (at least right now) is that things are not suddenly going to turn around and be great for April. This is a primetime soap. There is always going to be betrayal, intrigue, and people not getting what they want. Otherwise, there is no soap and the story remains as flimsy as a piece of paper in the wind.

If there isn’t something further bad that happens to April in the near future, then we imagine that it will be happening to Savi, or one of the other characters. It’s a vicious cycle, and we’re at least far enough now in the season to bear witness to much of this.
