‘The Bachelor’ rankings: Looking at Chris Soules, Marcus Grodd, Marquel Martin, more
At the moment, ABC has not firmly announces who the next star of “The Bachelor” is going to be, but given that we are pretty far along now into Andi Dorfman’s season, isn’t this as good of a time as any to start guessing?
There are a few reasonable contenders out there right now who are both still on the show, and who were eliminated a little while ago. We’re not just going here based on personal preference, but rather who we feel overall could be the best candidates from ABC’s end to take on a show that needs something good after all of America hated Juan Pablo Galavis by the time his season was over.
5. Cody Sattler – We wouldn’t have labeled him a candidate at all a few weeks ago, but he ended up coming across very likable despite having this whole “muscle guy” look to him. He reminds us a little of Sean Lowe personality-wise.
4. Josh Murray – In the event that Andi Dorfman doesn’t pick him, we could see Josh making a pretty good male lead for the show. He’s attractive, personable, and at this point fairly well-known. He may just be too closely associated to Andi.
3. Marcus Grodd – Marcus was a very good contestant for this season, but we feel like story-wise, there is still hardly nothing that we know about him. For a “Bachelor,” having a good hook is essential. We don’t know what his would be.
2. Marquel Martin – If there was ever going to be a black Bachelor, it’d be Marquel. He’s our personal favorite for the role given that he is funny, passionate, and different from the other guys. The biggest thing holding him back is that like Marcus and Cody, he’s confirmed to be on “Bachelor in Paradise.”
1. Chris Soules – Odds are, ABC is going to just recreate the old CW show “Farmer Wants a Wife.” Chris has everything that producers want, from an interesting job and story to enough charisma to make it work. Granted, he is still a part of Andi’s season, but he doesn’t seem to be in the driver’s seat.

I would love The Bachelor to be Marquel because he seems super cool and funny. Plus, I want a date involving cookies on The Bachelor. But, I also think Chris is sweet and I liked his family. Just, no more Ghost in the graveyard please.
