‘Doctor Who’ season 8: More unfortunate spoilers leak online, this time in episode form
This is just not turning out to be a good month for “Doctor Who.” The BBC series recently had to go through a nasty ordeal as many of their season 8 scripts were leaked online, and now there are reports coming out that at least one episode has been leaked almost in its entirety. This is super-depressing news, mostly because this is one of those shows that is really so much better spoiler-free. Also, it maks you have to wonder how low some of these people are who are leaking this stuff in the first place. Why go through the trouble?
These is no reason at all to worry here about whether or not we will share spoilers here, since we, quite frankly, will not. Instead, we’ll just share what the network had to say about this latest leak in a statement per the Radio Times:
“This is part of BBC Worldwide’s ongoing security investigation into leaked unfinished Doctor Who materials. This content is currently being removed and originates from the same Miami server disabled last week, it is not a new issue. We’d like to thank the amazing Doctor Who fans who are continuing to keep fansites and social media spoiler-free.”
We do feel like Whovians are still among the most understanding fan followings out there, at least in that they do not tend to give anything away to fans who don’t want to know (at least the vast majority of the time). Take, for example, when some news came out last year about John Hurt appearing in the 50th Anniversary Special; you didn’t have to feel like you needed to tip-toe around online in order to avoid the news about the character.
In case you missed it, showrunner Steven Moffat has already spoken out about some of these leaks. If you want some further news and updates sent right to your email, sign up today for our newsletter.
